Tip for the Month: Teens need sleep to perform well in school
As we continue to prioritize the well-being and academic success of our students, I would like to draw your attention to an essential aspect of their health: sleep habits. Adolescence is a crucial period of growth and development, and adequate sleep plays a fundamental role in supporting your teen's physical health, mental well-being, and academic performance.
Research consistently demonstrates that teenagers require between 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night to thrive. Unfortunately, many teens do not meet this recommended amount due to various factors, including academic demands, extracurricular activities, social engagements, and screen time.
By prioritizing sleep and supporting your teen in establishing healthy sleep habits, you can help them thrive academically, emotionally, and physically. If you have any concerns about your teen's sleep habits or if they are experiencing persistent sleep difficulties, please don't hesitate to reach out our school's counseling team for support and guidance.
