Book Character Day – Friday, October 31st
This year, instead of traditional costumes, students are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from a book. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate reading and imagination by bringing beloved stories to life!
Please ensure all costumes are school-appropriate. Scary masks and toy weapons are not permitted.
We look forward to seeing our hallways filled with creativity and the joy of reading!

A few weeks ago, Mrs. Nelms from The Rollins Center joined our elementary classrooms to model powerful literacy lessons for students and teachers. Through this partnership, we’re celebrating the strengths in our current teaching practices while also identifying opportunities to grow even stronger. 🌟

The Book Fair is coming Sept. 22–26! Students will be able to shop during school hours and discover new books they’ll love. See the attachment for specific times.
💳 Don’t forget to set up your child’s Scholastic eWallet. This is a safe, cash-free way for them to shop. You can add funds online and even invite family and friends to contribute! Your child can also bring cash in a Ziploc bag with their name on it. This will help them keep up with their loose change.

In Mrs. Siceloff’s 5th grade Science class, students got a closer look at the process of erosion using soil, gravel, and paint pans. Then, they took it a step further—designing and building levees to help stop the erosion process! 💡🙌
