Fourth grade scientists had an unforgettable hands-on experience dissecting owl pellets! Students carefully explored what owls eat by gently breaking apart the pellets and identifying bones and tiny remains of rodents and other small animals. There were lots of “aha!” moments as they pieced together skulls, ribs, and other skeletal clues like real biologists. The room was full of curiosity, teamwork, and excitement as students discovered the hidden stories inside each pellet. It was a fun and engaging way to bring science to life!

Thank you to all of the students and parents for the excitement and enthusiasm surrounding STEM Camp this year. We have sent out acceptance letters to participating students. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate all applicants this year, but the tremendous response is very encouraging and may allow us to expand the size of the camp in the future. Please review the acceptance letter carefully for important information, including instructions for arranging transportation if needed.

We want to take a moment to thank Ms. Diggs and Mrs. Ivey Davis, our incredible speech pathologists, for the heart, patience, and expertise they bring to our school every single day.
They work tirelessly to help students find their voices, whether that means strengthening communication skills, building confidence in speaking, supporting language development, or celebrating every small step of progress along the way. From individualized speech therapy sessions to collaborating with teachers and families, they make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
We are so grateful for the care, encouragement, and dedication they show in everything they do. Our school is stronger because of them! 💙

📖💡 One thing about our 4th graders… they know how to tell a story!
Every 4th grade class in Mrs. Spencer’s writing class recently published their very own book, and the results are AMAZING! From funny moments to creative ways of thinking, and heartfelt ideas, each book reflects the personality, imagination, and hard work of these students.
Becoming a published author is no small accomplishment, and these students should be incredibly proud of what they created together. Watching their excitement as they held their finished books for the first time was a moment to remember! 📚❤️
Keep writing, dreaming, and creating!

Second grade took a trip back in time for Georgia Day, and what an adventure it was! Students brought Second Grade Georgia history standards to life by dressing as important historical figures like Mary Musgrove, Tomochichi, Jackie Robinson, and James Oglethorpe.

From making butter by hand and baking biscuits to learning about life long ago and even hatching chickens, students experienced history in the most hands-on way possible! This exciting day connected classroom learning to real-life experiences and made Georgia history unforgettable. Georgia Day is always a favorite tradition in 2nd grade, and this year was no exception! 💛❤️🐣

🎪🎉 The 3rd Grade Carnival was a HUGE success! After working so hard during testing, our students got to celebrate in the best way possible with a carnival full of fun! Throughout the school day, students earned tickets through positive behavior, hard work, and participation, then cashed them in for games, prizes, and smiles all around.

We are so proud of the determination and effort our 3rd graders showed during GMAS, and this was the perfect way to celebrate all of their hard work. Way to go, 3rd grade! 🍿🎟️🎈
