The First, Second, & Forth Blocks of American Govenment classes taught by Mr. Michael Bryant conducted "Fairy Tales Mock Trials" on Wednesday, December 6. The students served as the prosecuting attorneys, defendents, plantiffs, bailiffs, jurors, and witnesses. Superior Court Judge Jim Hardy and State Court Judge Mark Mitchell presided.
Congratulations to Ariel Holland for being chosen as the Student of the Month for JROTC.
Captain Parnell wrote this about Ariel-
Ariel is very supportive of JROTC and holds a leadership position as the Fitness Officer. Ariel created a fitness schedule for the corps ensuring all cadets have an aggressive fitness regimen that keeps them engaged, developing healthy fitness habits and building team spirit.

The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is offering $65,000 in scholarships to Georgia students pursuing a degree in agriculture, veterinary medicine, family & consumer sciences or a related field.
Visit www.gafoundationag.org/scholarships for a list of eligible majors/schools for all scholarships, applications, and instructions to apply. All applications must be submitted online by March 1, 2024. Transcripts and letters of recommendation must be submitted online with the application.

The CTAE Student of the Month for Agriculture is Brendon Copeland. Mr. Rollins said that Brendon is always willing to help others, participates in everything, and is always positive.
Congratulations to Isabelle Harper for being chosen as the SOTM for JROTC. Captain Parnell said of Isabelle that she stepped up to take over a leadership role and has excelled. She writes that Isabelle always volunteers to help in the community, and she has volunteered to tutor cadets after school who are struggling with math.
The Georgia Aquarium offers “sea grants” to Title 1 schools so that Georgia students are able to experience ocean life. The GA Aquarium is committed to the education of young people in hopes that they become environmental ambassadors for the future. Some lucky Thomasville High School students got to take a chartered trip up to Atlanta today to visit! Thank you Ms Russo for writing the grant and Mr Daniels for making the trip a reality.

On behalf of the Thomasville High School agriculture program, we would like to congratulate Austin Chastain for receiving the American FFA Degree. This degree is the highest honor that a student can receive as an FFA member. Congratulations Austin. We cannot wait to see what you accomplish in the future.

Friday we put on a Veterans Day program for Southern Pines, then we went and did a flag folding at the Veterans Day event at the courthouse. Sunday morning, we presented the flags for 1st Missionary Baptist Church's annual Veterans Day celebration.
Parents you should have received an Opt-Out letter for Military and Higher Education. This form needs to be returned by 11/21/23 to get your student's name off the list that will be submitted to the requesting recruiters.
